I am a sociolinguist with an interest in dialectology, World Englishes, language variation and change, and language attitudes. Born and raised in New Zealand with German roots, I currently live and work in Bern, Switzerland. My current research focuses on the linguistic consequences of mid-term dialect contact, and the role of social network, language attitudes, and personality in dialect change.
